ICEMCR 2026

Pioneering

a Sustainable

Energy Future

Dates: February 25th – 28th, 2026

Location: Croc’s Resort, Jaco, Costa Rica

What is ICEM-CR 2026?

This is not just another series of presentations. It is the first international workshop of its kind in Costa Rica, a gathering designed to foster genuine collaboration rather than passive listening.

We are bringing together a carefully selected group of preeminent researchers and engineers to discuss the fundamentals, theory, and applications of energy materials. Our goal is to move beyond the standard conference format and create a space for deep discussion, creating a roadmap for the future of photoconversion and sustainable energy.

Why Costa Rica? There is no better setting to discuss the future of energy than a country that is already living it. Costa Rica is a global beacon of sustainability, running on nearly 100% renewable electricity and successfully reversing deforestation. We are meeting in a place that proves a sustainable future is not just theoretical, it is possible.

SCIENTIFIC THEMES

  • Fundamentals of Energy Materials

  • Applications in Sustainable Energy

  • Artificial Intelligence for Energy Materials
